Welcome to Nature Church UK, my name is Jude Mills (previously Murray) and I am an independent  celebrant, a healthcare chaplain, teacher,  spiritual coach and writer.  I offer inclusive ceremony, workshops, advice, coaching, soul friendship,  ritual and rites of passage. I specialise in  rites of passage around death and dying and offer alternative (and more traditional) and inclusive funeral celebrancy.

Nature Church – as the name suggests – means that I honour and celebrate the sacred in  nature, and recognise the sacredness of  the human relationship to nature, to God (The Great Mystery, Creation, The Universe, All That Is)  I honour – in my own spiritual practice – the intrinsic and essential interconnectedness of everything.  I don’t believe that you have to be religious to experience any of this.

Many people have shifted away from organised religion, but still feel spiritual, or have a sense of there being something more.  Many people are turning to Humanist and civil celebrants to conduct ceremonies, which is great.  However, unlike Humanists and civil celebrants  independent celebrants are free to use religious or spiritual words, music, poetry or concepts in their ceremonies. If these were meaningful for the person who has died, such as a favourite hymn or prayer, it often feels very important to their loved ones to include them.

Independent Ministers are able to offer secular, religious and spiritual elements.

I am an inclusive celebrant and joyfully LGBTQ+ and disability inclusive. You can read my inclusion statement here.
